Pay Low Monthly Installments With A Cheap APR Loan

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steve_C_Clark]Steve C Clark An APR means Annual Percentage Rate is a numerical figure usually in single digit which is used to express the total interest, i.e. amount over and above the principal amount, which is charged by the lender as a charge for offering lending service. It is also called the cost of loan. It is the yearly amount a consumer must pay for acquiring a loan or other type of credit. Lending law requires that all lender clearly disclose the APR in all promotional material through which lenders seek clients. This loan and cost disclosure is called the Truth in Lending Act. It was legislated in 1968 as a part of consumer protection act. Subsequently, it was revised and made simplified. The basic goal of this act was to express clearly to consumer the cost of availing loan so that the prospective borrower can compare and go for a loan which is most suitable for him. However, though lenders disclose APR only for the sake of fulfilling a legal formality. At time the method of expressing APR makes it difficult for consumers to find out actual cost. Though APRs is used to compare loans and determine the least expensive credit products, APR is also confusing at time. Because each lender may calculate APRs in a different way. Therefore, a loan with a lower APR may not necessarily be less costly than one with a higher APR. Lenders have some flexibility when it comes to calculating APRs. Along with fulfilling the requirements of law, they can underestimate the annual percentage rate of a loan by as much as 1/8 of a percentage point. For loans that are considered irregular, lenders may underestimate APRs by as much as 1/4 of a percentage point. At time, various hidden fees are included in an APR to make APR more confusing. Such fees vary and depend upon the loan, credit product obtained. Points; prepaid interest; private mortgage insurance; and fees for loan processing, document preparation, and underwriting are commonly included in an APR. Sometimes loan application fees and credit-life insurance costs are included as well. Cheap APR Loan As the acronym APR itself describes, cheap APR means cheap or low annual percentage rate or lower annual cost to for the borrower. This low APR translates into lower installments for the borrower. Usually, lenders advertise their low APR schemes, which can be useful for you but be careful while choosing any lender because at time rates may be deceptive. Cheap loan lenders calculate their APR through a system called risk based pricing. This means that they assess each individual’s circumstances and credit record before deciding what rate to be offered. If the profile of the borrower is excellent and has a record of timely payments, he will be offered a low APR. However, you must see if any hidden cost is included in the cheap loan which is not being reflected or is not in your knowledge. One such example is prepayment penalty, which means if you clear off your debt before the decided period; lenders charge a penalty in terms of certain percentage of the loan amount. However, there are other factors to consider when making a loan application, such as acceptance criteria, price for risk and redemption penalties. It doesn’t matter how cheap a loan is if your application is declined because you don’t fit the lender’s criteria. Is a low APR always cheaper NO, you must compare the cost of different loan offers before deciding any particular offer. Just because a loan has a low APR or lower monthly payments it doesn’t mean that it’s the cheapest or best loan for you. Before taking final decision, consider few common aspects, which are: If a lower APR loan comes with pre payment penalty, it may not actually be a lower APR loan. So weigh up your options as you may find it better to opt for a slightly higher APR with no early settlement charge, than a lower APR with a penalty for paying off the loan before the end of the term. Credit Record - “Getting Acquainted With Your Credit File”

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

By Julian Thornton Sit down with a friend and ask them questions about themselves. Theyll be able to tell you things such as what there favourite foods are, their favourite cars, how they like their coffee, what time they like to get up, go to bed, etc. Ask them how much they know about their Credit Record though, and chances are they wont know much if anything! So how much do you know about your Credit File? Its always a great idea to get acquainted with your Credit Record, because it will play a huge role in helping lenders to determine whether or not to loan money to you. By familiarising yourself with your file, you can also see where you need to make improvements. Before we go any further though, its wise for me to explain to you what a Credit Record is and what information is on it. What is a Credit Record and What Information is on it? Its pretty simple really. Basically a Credit Record reflects your payment history and gives prospective lenders an idea as to how you manage your debts. Your Credit File will contain the following information: Personal information your name, residential addresses (past and present), date of birth, employment details, drivers licence number; Credit applications and/or enquiries you have made over the last five years; Records relating to some current accounts; Defaults put simply any overdue/outstanding accounts that may be listed against you; Bankruptcy details; Judgements court orders instructing you to pay a credit a certain amount; Writs; Repossessions; and Public record information, e.g. Proprietorships or Directorships. Who would Access my Credit Record and When? Prospective lenders will access your Credit Record when you apply for credit in any form. For instance, when you apply for a mobile phone plan, pay by the month insurance, an in-store card, a credit card, a personal loan or a mortgage, possible lenders will assess your Credit File to help determine your level of risk. They want to know how well you manage any debts. Why You Should Familiarise Yourself with Your Credit File Most people dont know there is a problem, in the form of negative listings, with their Credit File until they have had a finance application rejected. By obtaining a copy of your Credit File and familiarising yourself with the information contained within it, you can iron out any problems you may have (by paying out any outstanding defaults, judgements, and generally just getting your finances in order) so you can show the next prospective lender you deal with that you are worthy of receiving credit. In addition, it is a good idea to check your Credit File for any mistakes or fraudulent activity, and quickly report these to the credit bureau most likely Baycorp Advantage. Sadly, identity fraud is on the rise and people may apply for finance on your behalf, without your authorisation. They can damage your Credit File, so you must be vigilant and check your file at least once each year. You can obtain a copy of your Credit File from Baycorp Advantage. It’s Payback Time

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Sara_Chambers]Sara Chambers You throw your cap into the air with the thrill of knowing that you have just completed a great challenge: College. As the cap falls from the sky and smacks you in the head, it hits you: You are $20,000 in debt! The nights of cramming for midterms, freshman hazing and caffeine comas have cost you, and now its time for payback. Where do you begin? First you need to relax and take a deep breath. The United States government does not expect a check from you for $20,000. The first thing to understand about a federal student loan is that you have some time before you have to start paying it back. It’s called a “grace period” and it is extended for six months. During these six months, it is expected that you will find a job and secure some type of financial stability. Your first payment is due within sixty days of the first day of your repayment period. The next thing that you need to understand is that you have repayment options. The Federal Student Aid website offers four specific repayment options. These include the Standard Repayment Plan, the Extended Repayment Plan, Graduated Repayment Plan, and the Income Contingent Repayment Plan. The Standard Repayment plan requires a fixed amount each month, which is often a higher amount as you have ten years to repay. The Extended Payment Plan takes longer to pay off your loans, which means you will pay more in interest, but your monthly payments will be smaller. The Graduated Repayment Plan is an excellent option, offering lower payments at first which increase over time as your income increases. Finally, there is the Income Contingent Repayment Plan, which allows you to adjust monthly payment based on family size, income and loan amount. If you have difficulty paying back your student loans, there are two ways to handle it: Deferment or forbearance. Each of them results in a pause or reduction of payment respectively. Successful repayment of your student loans requires a clear understanding of your options. Why Use A Compressed Air Regulator?

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

By Bill Wade If you purchase a “do-it-yourself” type air compressor, or if you purchase any type of air compressor for that matter, check to make sure that it comes with an Air Regulator. If not, purchase one. You will be glad you did! An air regulator is a device that lowers the downstream air pressure. Downstream air is the air that’s moving from the regulator towards your application. Compressed air will flow from the compressor reservoir into the air regulator (this supply is called upstream air) and through a system of an internal diaphragm and springs, the regulator will maintain a constant downstream air pressure level, despite changes in the upstream supply pressure from the tank. Recognize that you can only use a compressed air regulator to increase the downstream air pressure up to the level of the upstream supply air pressure. An air regulator will not enable you to “dial up” the downstream air pressure higher than the upstream level. However, if you can figure out how to do that, do let me know, and we’ll both get rich! ;-} You will want to set the downstream air pressure from your regulator at a pressure level that is below the lowest air pressure that will be incoming from your air compressor. Here’s why. The compressor maximum pressure set point is the pressure level inside the compressor receiver at which the compressor shuts itself off. This is also known as the “cut out” pressure. When the cut out pressure is reached, the compressor stops compressing air. When you start to use compressed air from the compressor tank, the pressure inside starts to drop, and eventually the compressor will start again. This is the “cut in” pressure point. As a result, your application, be it an air tool or an air brush, will “see” varying pressures from the tank as the compressor cycles on and off between the two set points. For most applications, a varying air pressure supply isn’t satisfactory and it is particularly problematical for folks that use compressed air to spray paint. Despite your best efforts with the air brush, if the supply air pressure is constantly changing, so too will the quality of your work. This brings us back to the why you will always want to have an air regulator installed in the line between the compressor and your application. If you set the downstream air pressure at a pressure level BELOW the cut in pressure level of the air compressor, in theory, the air pressure to your application should never change. As the air compressor goes through its normal cut-in and cut-out cycle your air regulator ensures that your downstream device will see a steady, non-fluctuating, supply of compressed air. This is theoretical only, unfortunately. If your application consumes more compressed air than your compressor can generate, even though you have set your air regulator at a “safe” level, eventually the air pressure from the tank will fall below the level your regulator is set for, and the downstream device will see a steadily diminishing air pressure supply too; this even though your compressor may have cut-in, and is trying desperately to build up a supply of compressed air inside the tank. This is why you really want to know how much air you need for your application to ensure that your air compressor has enough capacity to oversupply your needs. Check out details of this at ABOUT-air-compressors. com! Know that air pressure regulators come with different levels of accuracy with the least accurate being, as you might guess, the least expensive. Most general purpose compressed air regulators will have an accuracy of 3-5 PSI, meaning that the actual air pressure that your device is being supplied through the regulator will vary within that range, despite what it says on the gauge. If you need more accuracy, opt for a precision regulator, and depending on the manufacturer, you may be able to get a downstream air pressure within a .5 PSI accuracy of the pressure reading on the gauge. General purpose air pressure regulators normally have an operating range in the area of of 0 - 120 PSI. Others will be rated for pressures of 0-100 or 0-150 PSI. You can also get air regulators with a narrower and more specialty oriented range of pressures such as: 0-10 PSI, 0-20, 20-60 PSI and so on. At the other end of the scale, you can purchase regulators that can safely handle many thousands of PSI. For most do-it-yourself types, a general compressed air regulator with a range of 0-100 PSI will do just fine. His sales agency represents a select group of industrial firms. Independent Review Organizations Meets State Managed Care Regulations

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Skip_Freedman] Skip Freedman When it comes to patient care, licensing and certification, and credentialing of their providers, managed care organizations are called upon to meet rigorous state regulations. Independent Review Organizations ease their burden by providing managed care organizations (Managed Care Organization) with a flexible means for outsourcing their medical reviews and pre-authorizations to an entity which is capable of providing credentialed, state-licensed physicians for all specialties and subspecialties. Increasingly this is important as organizations work across state lines to provide pre-authorizations for expensive and complex treatments and manage patient populations in a several states. An Independent Review Organization provides great value because it can work across states lines and is set up to recruit and credential specialists in multiple states to meet state regulatory requirements more easily than an Managed Care Organization can. This is why an increasing number of Managed Care Organizations turn to Independent Review Organizations for outsourcing their preauthorization approvals to get specialty matches of complex and costly medical treatments. Hey, FACTNet - Where’s the Beef?

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

By James Peters A business acquaintance of mine mentioned how the personal-growth company she works for is tacitly assumed to be a cult by FACTNet.org. I browsed over and discovered that sure enough, there are many FACTnet message board posters pointing the finger at their organization and screaming “Cult! Cult!”. Knowing that my religion is judged by some to be a cult, I used the search function on FACTNet to discover that, sure enough, there are even MORE people pointing at my religion and yelling the same thing. So, I read around a little on the site to discover why FACTNet believes my religion and my friend’s company are cults. Surely there must be somewhere where they give a list of criteria and objectively judge point by point whether a given organization qualifies for such a dubious title. I found some very interesting things. On one page FACTNet offers an answer to a very important question:”Anybody can unfairly attack a group they disagree with by calling it a cult or saying they are using coercive mind control. How does FACTNet prevent this type of problem and determine fairly whether or not a group is a cult?” Wow! Great question! Here is their answer: “FACTNet uses specific criteria to determine if a mind control system has been used, and does not suggest organizations are destructive or dangerous cults without careful research and determination that the evidence fits definite criteria.” (emphasis added) Wow! Great answer! Only one problem, FACTNet, where’s the beef? With Google’s help, I searched all 75,600 pages of the website looking for the pages where FACTNet discloses the results of their “careful research” of both the organizations in question. Found nothing. I repeat, I found no listing anywhere on their site as to how they came to the reputation-damning conclusion that both my religion and my friend’s business where cults. Nichts, nada. What I DID find were discussion boards where former members of both organizations lambast them for all their past and present faults and shortcomings — both real and perceived (but wait, didn’t Jesus say, “let he who is without sin cast the first stone?”). I also found that FACTNet has a listing of links to newspaper and web articles about members of my church (who apparently never listened in Sunday School) who were convicted for child abuse. So, is THAT the standard? If a religion has members who, against the teachings of their church, abuse children, then the religion is a de facto cult? If so, FACTnet, please tell us which religion has no child molesters, so we can all convert! But, I digress. Not being able to find the all-important “careful research”, I read through the list of criteria of how to tell if a group is a “destructive cult”. As I read, I reviewed in my mind what I knew about my religion, of which I have been an active member — attending weekly and serving in one capacity or another for over 35 years. Can you imagine my surprise to discover that my religion does not qualify based on their criteria? Yet, there they are, treated on the site as if they are some kind of wacked-out fruitcakes. So, why? Why are both these and other organizations being targeted by this site without presenting their “careful research”? I can only venture a guess. The site’s founder, Lawrence Wollersheim, was in a 22-year legal battle with the Church of Scientology, of which he is a disgruntled former member. He won a $8.9 million settlement. Hmmm maybe he’s fishing for more deep-pockets to sue — I don’t know. And another possibility. Doesn’t it stand to reason, whether Scientology is actually a cult or not, that Wollersheim wears “cult-colored” glasses? We tend to see what we believe. So Lawrence, reading down the same list of criteria for dangerous cults, would probably judge my religion and my friend’s organization as cults solely because he is predisposed to agree with disgruntled former members. But has he ever actually VISITED either? Has he actually done this all-important research? If so, Lawrence, where’s the beef? While his website allows people to vent their spleens on various organizations, he offers no objective analysis of any organization against their touted list of criteria. Again, Wollersheim, where’s the beef? About the AuthorJames Peters enjoys writing articles on a variety of subjects for publication on the Internet. Feel free to read what has been posted by people on the FACTNet Message Board and judge for yourself whether it’s beef or vendetta. Illegal Drug Usage And The Depressed

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

By Justin Meyer Drugs might seem like a good idea sometimes. A little something to pick up your mood. Maybe to help out with your prescription, if those medicines dont seem to be working like you want. This is a bad idea. And it is very easy to tell you to just say no to drugs. The reality is that doesnt work. You might find yourself saying yes for various reasons, including trying to be accepted by others. Peer pressure seems harder to resist when you are so unsure of yourself. The most important thing to do is to talk with your therapist and mention any drugs that you have started doing. You might also want to talk to your doctor, as they may have effects on the medications that you are taking. Find out why you are starting these new habits and look at how they could cause problems in your life. You already suffer from depression, look at whether these will add to your problems in any way. If you find that you are easily addicted or start to need the drugs in any way, take yourself to an AA or NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meeting. They are easy to find, particularly in big cities, and are completely confidential. Share if you want, or just listen if you want. If you feel like it would be helpful, you can probably find someone there to talk to, get some help from. If you are addicted, then getting treatment is essential. Because they can affect your mood, and cause unintended side effects for your medication, you are risking more than you probably realize. Because you suffer from depression, and are more likely to make a self-destructive decision, you need to get help whenever you can. Personal and Business Government Grants

Monday, November 19th, 2007

By Kate Ross Since each agency has different loans and grants with varied requirements for approval, it is almost impossible to make a list containing them all. However, you can have an idea of the different types of grants available and once you know what you need, you can contact the government agency directly to get further information regarding these aid programs. Personal Government Grants There are government grants for personal purposes offered by different government agencies. These grants are awarded some due to merit, some due to need. There are government grants awarded to students, Scientifics and investigators, artists, physicians, etc. which are awarded according to the merit. And there are government grants for students, first time home buyers, entrepreneurs, senior citizens, etc. awarded according to the needs of the applicant. There are government grants for students available that are granted in order to fund college studies of those who cant afford the monthly payments or for those who have an excellent high school performance and want to develop their knowledge on certain field that the government is interested in promoting. Physics, certain areas of medicine, are examples of these fields. There are also government grants for first time home buyers. In this case these grants are awarded according to geographic variables and according to the needs of the applicants. The idea is to solve habitation problems caused by disasters, poverty or harsh economic situations on certain geographic zones. Business Government Grants There are mainly two kinds of government grants for businesses. These grants types have many differences and the qualification process is completely different. They share only the purpose and certain mechanisms of approval and awarding. The main distinction is probably the stage at which the business is. There are government grants awarded for running businesses. In this case, the grant is offered to those companies that provide a particular service to the public and the government is interested in sustaining their productivity or increasing it. The main qualification requirements are related to the fields at which the company works and the availability or not of other players in that market that could replace or compete with the company. If there are no other competitors due to the lack of feasibility of the business, chances are that if the government is interested, it will subsidize the companys development. And there are also government grants for starting businesses. Again, in this case, the grant is offered to those who are willing to start a business on a certain field which the government is interested in promoting. The money is used to fund the creation of the company and its first steps on the market. Qualification for these grants requires submitting abundant documentation with market analyses and feasibility studies too. — Kate Ross is a professional consultant with fifteen years in the financial field. How To Save Money On Common Beauty Treatments By Doing Them At Home

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

By Gregg Hall Beauty is very important to the modern woman. Women go to extreme lengths to help them stay looking young and beautiful. Face peels, plastic surgery, and liposuction are becoming a popular trend. These kinds of treatments are not right for everyone. Many women choose to do things at home that are easy, non invasive, and less costly. My wife use to go to the beauty salon all the time to get these things done, but now there are so many really good products available that you can use right at home. It really is no longer necessary to spend hundreds of dollars at the beauty salon; now women can spend a fraction of that amount by purchasing their supplies at the local drug store. Plus there is a wide variety of products available at the drug store so women can find the perfect product for their skin type. Some of the tips I have learned from being around my wife all these years have really made an impact on me. She is a wonderful woman and dedicated to keeping yourself looking great, her are a few of her tips:The first thing you can do to keep you looking beautiful is eating right. With a well balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables you can stay at optimum health and keep your skin, hair, and nails looking great. Another important part of diet would be making sure you get your recommended eight to ten glasses of water a day. Water will hydrate your skin, and cleanse your body of unwanted toxins.Regular exercise is another way to help you stay young and active. Exercise will help keep you healthy and looking great. If you feel great about yourself it will show. Exercise will also help improve skin tone, digest food easier, and rid the body of unwanted toxins. Good hygiene is another easy to stay looking great. Making sure you keep your body clean and free of dead skin will help your skin look great. A shower in the morning may help you get ready for the day, while a shower in the evening may help you wash the stress of the day away and prepare you for sleep. Get out and get some sun. The sun can be harmful if you do not wear the proper protection, so make sure you protect your skin. The sun provides natural vitamins and energy for our bodies. Happiness is another important factor in beauty. If you are happy with your life than you will look more healthy and young. When you are surrounded by loved ones you will look and feel better about yourself. Do remember that you need to love yourself as well. Aerobics Imposters

Friday, November 16th, 2007

By David McCormick In health clubs, they run classes that call themselves “aerobics”. As you will come to see, they are neither aerobic, nor are they the best way to lose the excess fat. The main thing they accomplish for you is losing weight from your wallet. True Aerobics The word “aerobic” literally means “with air”. It is the opposite of anaerobic (without air). These terms refer to the way in which your cells are providing the energy for your muscles to work. Anaerobic means sugars are being burned without oxygen, which creates a by-product of lactic acid. This lactic acid accumulates in your muscles, causing them to feel like they’re burning. Aerobic means that blood sugar and fat are being burned in oxygen, which has only carbon dioxide as a by-product, which you exhale. Low intensity exercise is aerobic because you can inhale enough oxygen to meet your muscles’ energy needs. High intensity exercise needs far more energy, but you can’t breathe in enough air to keep up, so you feel “out of breath”. But your muscles still need the energy, so they switch to anaerobic. However, you can’t burn fat in anaerobic mode, only sugars, so you can’t keep it up too long, and you’re not accomplishing your goal of fat-reduction. Whatever activity you choose, you know you’re in an aerobic mode if you can take deep breaths and carry on a conversation. If you’re taking fast, shallow breaths through your mouth, then no matter how slow you may be going or what kind of activity it is, you’re doing it anaerobically. Does that mean that walking to the store is aerobic activity? Yes. Most things you do all day are aerobic. For it to be exercise, though, you have to raise your heart rate. So, get the blood flowing by walking fast, and you’ll be burning fat in no time. For aerobic exercise to be effective, it has to be long duration. When you start to move around, your body will burn blood-sugar in oxygen aerobically, but it won’t trigger your fat cells to provide any fat to burn right away. Your body would prefer to wait for your next meal to replace the blood sugar. It’s only when you show your body that it will need more energy right away that it will recruit fat from your fat stores. Once the fat starts to flow, you have to burn it, or else it will be re-deposited unused. So what does that mean? When you do a low-intensity exercise, it will really do you no good until you pass the 15-20 minute mark. Until then, you are just burning blood-sugar. Once the fat starts to flow, that’s when the work really begins, and you should continue exercising and burning that fat for at least 20 more minutes if you continue your low-intensity activity. If you switch to a higher-intensity activity, try to breathe as deeply as possible to continue your aerobic burning. Use Your Biggest Weapons If your goal is fat-reduction and you want to achieve it as quickly as possible, you must use your biggest weapons. Larger muscles burn more energy than smaller muscles. Therefore, your choice of exercise should make use of your largest muscles, which are your gluteus maximus and your quadriceps… your butt and your thighs. Walking, jogging, stair climbing, cross country skiing, rollerblading and bicycling are all great examples of activities you can keep up for a long period of time, while breathing deeply and using your largest muscles. Swimming, unfortunately, is mostly an upper-body activity, no matter how hard you think you’re kicking. The arm movements that you see some “power-walkers” doing, as well as the complicated patterns in “aerobics” classes at the gym are doing nothing to speed up weight loss. Arm swinging can improve your circulation and keep your mind occupied, but is not necessary, and certainly is no substitute for a good leg workout. High Intensity Usefulness High intensity exercise has it’s good points, though. It is important to remember that a well-conditioned heart and lungs can fight heart disease and stroke, and makes all forms of exercise more effective. The only way to improve the function of your heart and lungs is to push them harder than normal, into the anaerobic side of things. When you’re struggling for breath, breathing rapidly, and your heart is pumping at its maximum, you are making them more powerful and prolonging your life. Although anaerobic exercise does not burn fat while you’re doing it, the exercise itself raises your metabolism so that you burn fat afterward for several hours. This is because your body is replacing all the energy you used. My other recommendations can be found in my article on Exercise. Those high-intensity classes offered by health clubs are good for some people, but there’s no good reason for you to join one if you’ve never done it before. For some people, it makes the workout fun, which is a great motivator. The coach or instructor is also a great source of motivation because they encourage you to continue and push harder. Many people need that. Just remember that it is NOT aerobic exercise. The complicated patterns and arm movements serve no purpose, and if you can’t keep up for more than 20 minutes, it may be a waste of time. For most men (and women) it is far better to do a nice low-intensity warm up for 20 minutes, followed by a moderate to high intensity run or bike for another 10-15 minutes. To get the best aerobic benefits, try to breathe deeply throughout, because that’s what aerobics is really about! Aerobics is good, but there are better exercises for weight loss, read my article called Exercise: Essential. Aerobic exercise can be a part of your weight-loss equation.
